Day One: Long, Successful Day

We had a great day today! The team worked hard for about 11 hours straight and we are quite beat, so this update will be short.

We arrived at the Chess' home early Thursday for our first day. All day long we were introduced to different members of the family and it was wonderful to be with them. Eveling Chess mentioned several times how blessed she felt because we were here. But we were blessed by them in many ways too, including a fantastic home cooked lunch of fish and potatoes!

From the outside, you wouldn't know there was any work to do. The yard was beautifully manicured. But inside, the damage had been extensive. We spent the entire day installing drywall in every downstairs room, and in an upstairs bathroom. We got a lot of work done in one day, with much more to do over the next few days.

Please keep us in your prayers. I hope to have some pictures soon...
